Jet has reached the 2.0 milestone! What is Jet? Jet is a middleware based on the phoneme vm made by Avalpa people for digital television set top box. Jet is free (as freedom), GPL licensed software.

With this major bump up, we mark the first release based on a solid  foundation and high level hardware exploitation. For the truly geeks among you, we mean:

• True color triple buffered graphical navigator,
• hardware based section filtering (for faster DSMCC carousel decoding)
• video move and resize scaling,
• i-frame decoding with DMA bit blit
• smart card APDU support
• bit-torrent daemon

Jet actually runs on DgStation CubeCafe 350 Prime (we tested with both the satellite or terrestrial tuner). We plan to make it broadly compatible, in the medium term, with all the DgStation Set Top Box family and more.
